Miami, FL 33132
The Adrienne Arsht Center is one of the largest performing art centers in the USA. This venue is home to the Florida Grand Opera and hosts a number of outdoor and indoor concerts featuring all kinds of music.
The Adrienne Arsht Center was partly built on the grounds of a former Sears department store, which was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places in 1997 as Sears, Roebuck and Company Department Store. However, by 2001, the only surviving part was a seven-story tower built by Sears. The department store itself had been demolished. The tower was preserved and incorporated into the new performing arts center.
