Miami Hotels & The Miami Heat

If you’re a basketball fan, then you know that American Airlines Arena is home to the Miami Heat. Make sure you catch them while staying at our hotel in Miami. Check out the Miami Heat's schedule for dates and tickets.

The Miami Heat is a member of the Southeast Division in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). They play their home games at the American Airlines Arena in Downtown Miami. Micky Arison is the team owner, and he also owns cruise-ship giant Carnival Corporation. The mascot of the Miami Heat is an anthropomorphic fireball called Burnie.

Formed in 1988 as one of the NBA's four expansion franchises, the Miami Heat won three league championships in 2006, 2012 and 2013. They also won five conference titles and 11 division titles. In 2013, Forbes valued the Miami Heat at $625 million, making it the sixth-most-valuable basketball team among NBA franchises.

Basketball is not the only sporting event you can catch near our Miami hotel. Sports fans can also watch the Miami Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium, the Miami Marlins at Marlins Park or the NASL Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium.
