Marlins Park is in downtown Miami on the site of the former Orange Bowl in Little Havana, Florida. The stadium is designed in a neomodern form of baseball architecture. The building is the sixth MLB stadium to have a retractable roof. With a seating capacity of 37,442, it’s the third-smallest stadium in Major League Baseball by official capacity. Marlins Park was also LEED certified as the greenest MLB park in 2012.
The Miami Marlins started playing during the 1993 season as the Florida Marlins. The Miami Marlins played home games from 1993 to 2011 at Sun Life Stadium, which they shared with the Miami Dolphins. Ever since the 2012 season, the Miami Marlins have held their games at Marlins Park.
Be a part of the action this summer when you stay at Comfort Suites Miami. Our Miami hotel near Marlins Park is also located near several other sporting event venues. You can catch the Miami Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium, see the NHL at the BB&T Center, or watch the NASL Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium.
